Potu 4 - Improving Blog Comments

This morning our focus has been improving blog comments to make them more positive, thoughtful and helpful. We looked at some comments on different blogs that needed some improvement. We then decided to give them an extreme makeover! Have a look at some of the comments we improved.

Matt - creating a turning paper plane

To create my paper plane I had a look at some of the examples and then decided to google the term 'create a paper plane that flies to the left'.  Youtube link.

Then I had a look at the supporting text that showed how to make the plane turn.  I folded the right wing a bit and trialled which then got it to turn to the left.  The video below shows my plane flying three metres and then turning to the left.

Paper plane magic by the Engineers

Owairaka teachers Soraya, Erna, Philippa and Angela as per our instructions made a paper plane that flew for 3 metres and turned left. It was a good way to see things from our students point of view.
